ASSA ABLOY DC140 Articulated Arm Door Closer

ASSA ABLOY DC140 Articulated Arm Door Closer

The ASSA ABLOY DC140 is a reliable, surface-mounted overhead door closer designed to provide smooth, controlled and secure closing in residential, commercial and public buildings. Its durable rack-and-pinion mechanism delivers consistent performance during everyday use while helping to prevent doors from slamming, reducing noise and protecting the door, frame and surrounding hardware.

Thanks to its configurable closing force, the DC140 can be adjusted to suit different door widths, weights and installation requirements. Depending on the mounting position, the closer provides variable closing power in accordance with EN 1154 sizes 2, 3, 4 and 5, making it suitable for door leaves up to 1250 mm wide. Three independent hydraulic control valves allow precise adjustment of the door’s closing behaviour. The closing speed and final latching action can be regulated to achieve a safe, stable and comfortable movement. Thermodynamic valve technology helps maintain consistent performance despite changes in ambient temperature.

The articulated arm is finished in black RAL 9005, providing a discreet and professional appearance that complements contemporary residential and commercial interiors. The unit is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed doors and can be installed without changing the main mechanism. The DC140 is suitable for use with approved fire- and smoke-protection doors when installed in accordance with the relevant door certification and fitting instructions. It has been tested in compliance with EN 1154, providing dependable performance for frequently used doors.

The maximum opening angle is up to 180 degrees, depending on the selected closing force and installation arrangement. When configured to EN size 5, the maximum opening angle is 125 degrees.
